Savannah In Spring

First Congregational Church with Pastor Taylor made our first Sunday in Savannah!  Pastor Taylor gave a stirring message and made us feel quite at home. His congregation welcomed us royally with hugs. We wished we could have been there for more services.  The building faces the Whitfield Square. Whitfield Square was built in 1851 and named after Rev. George Whitefield, founder of Bethesda Home for Boys.

Here is a view of the inside of the church. The pipe organ is amazing to see. The man who played the piano did a terrific job.

After church we took a trolley tour of the city.

David joined me for a fun picture. That’s our group, all of the seats on the left side of the trolley.

Here is a view of our driver and the front of the trolley. This shows just how green and beautiful Savannah is in May!

During our trip to Georgia, we took every opportunity to enjoy the outdoors. With such a lovely backdrop and great family, it was the best of times. We spent some time at Tybee Island, just hanging out and walking the beach.
