Today and tomorrow is the 237th anniversary of the Battle of Hubbardton. A celebration will be held at the Hubbardton Battlefield. There will be activities for the whole family. What a fun way to learn the history of the area.

The Battle of Hubbardton was fought during the Revolutionary War with the Americans fighting off the British and Germans on American soil. This important battle left a historical legacy.

A local body commissioned the erection of a monument on the battlefield site in 1859, and the state began acquiring battlefield lands in the 1930s for operation as a state historic site. The battlefield was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1971, and is the site of annual Revolutionary War reenactments.

As many of you know, I love to travel. So if your family is planning a vacation in the area and want to take in some historical sites, I’d highly recommend visiting this one. There is so much to learn. This link will get you started on your planning.
