I have been in rainforests in Jamaica, Washington State, and other locations.¬† There are many plants and animals in the rainforests that have yet to be identified. It is a fascinating place. If you ever get the chance to visit one, I’d highly recommend it.

Did you know that rainforests are a source for natural medicines?

Here are some interesting facts about rainforests.

Rainforests are also responsible for 28% of the world’s oxygen turnover, sometimes misnamed oxygen production,¬†processing it through photosynthesis from carbon dioxide and consuming it through respiration. A tropical rainforest is typically divided into four main layers, each with different plants and animals adapted for life in that particular area: the emergent, canopy, understorey/understory and forest floor layers.
