Eliezer Ben-Yehuda


Eliezer Ben-Yehuda was known as the person instrumental in reviving Hebrew into a modern language. He also studied French, German, and Russian and was highly educated. In 1881 he traveled to Jerusalem and found a job as a teacher. He was the author of the first modern Hebrew dictionary. You can read more about him by clicking here.
